My brother married in his mid-20s to a woman who had been married previously. They were married for nine years. She left him for a man. He told me he’d never get married again.

“Never say never!” I said.

My brother fell in love with the mother of one of his daughter’s classmates. They were married for four years. She left him for a woman. He told me he’d never get married again.

“Never say never!” I said.

My brother fell in love with the mother of a young man he worked with. They just celebrated their seven-year anniversary. I tell her she’s my favorite thing about my brother. She’s a keeper.

So, I must admonish you divorcees, “Never say never!”

Other than that, since I’ve never been married, and thus never divorced, I can’t really speak to dating after divorce. But I can say what I always say: STAY OPEN!
