I have a word here on open adoption. Keep in mind I am ardently pro-choice, but I have a strong opinion on this one based on personal observation.
Two of my friends had unplanned pregnancies and each was already raising a biological child as a single parent. A number of options were available to them, but both chose open adoption.
Both women are very happy and at peace with their decision, and their children are thriving in their adoptive homes.
If you have an unplanned pregnancy, and you don’t feel you can provide the best home possible for your child, please consider open adoption. Please. There are thousands upon thousands of infertile couples that are desperate to complete their families.
