I require an intellectual/emotional attachment as well. I find that. The much younger men are not men with whom I want something romantic long-term, so it's about friendship and fun. And they are devoted friends. I did meet someone my own age and I was very hopeful, but it ended just over two months ago. We transitioned to friendship but now he's gone and met someone else! Before I even had a date. I'm really struggling with that. It would be OK if he were an attentive friend, but he's in the throes of a new relationship and I feel ignored. Wah. Anyway. It's enough to make me want to stick with the youngsters, but that's not a long term solution. I would very much like to find someone my age for long term. I have found men disclose ED issues early on, just like I disclose genital herpes early on. Email me if you want to have further discussion about the ED, which he did have. Oh boy.
